FAQ

  • I specialize in studio and on-location portraiture. Several genres fall under that umbrella:

    Fine art solo/group/family portraits

    Boudoir

    Maternity/mother + baby

    Senior Portraits

    Head shots + personal branding

    Pageant head shots

I no longer photograph events or weddings.

  • Head HERE and fill out the inquiry form. I will be in touch within 48 hours (mon-thurs) to set up a complimentary Zoom consultation to discuss your vision, go over the process, and answer any questions you have. From there, we will take a look at dates, complete your session fee payment + session contract, and get you officially booked in!

  • The entire experience from the initial consultation to print delivery is approximately 8-12 weeks. See digital + print delivery timelines below. Your experience may be expedited if we have availability.

  • The studio is located in Norwich, Connecticut, but my team + I are available to travel to your desired location upon request.

  • You should plan to spend about 4.5 hours in the studio with us!

  • The studio is an intimate setting and we want the focus to remain on you, so we ask that only the person or people being photographed come on the day of the shoot.

*Minors should be accompanied by a guardian, and pets may need a designated pick up/drop off person who is not being photographed.

  • Our photo shoots are custom based on how you would like to be captured. During our consultation, you & I will dive in and discuss your vision so that we have a solid idea of the direction of the shoot. Then, during your wardrobe call, Keely will ensure that the wardrobe lines up with how you want to be seen, and the same goes for hair + makeup, backdrops, posing, etc.!

  • Once you are booked in, I will send you our session prep guide to help you in prepare for your shoot. Here is the most important thing, though: get excited!

  • Yes! Professional hair + makeup is included in every session.

We may decide together that a skincare treatment rather than a makeup application suits your session if you would like portraits with a very raw feel.

Depending on your gender expression, grooming (skin prep, shine control, and making sure brows and hair are camera ready) is another option available to you.

  • Keely, our studio wardrobe stylist, will meet with you over Zoom a couple of weeks before your shoot to discuss wardrobe and will let you know what you’ll need to bring with you.

  • While it very rarely happens, winter weather may prevent you or a member of my team from traveling safely to your shoot. If inclement weather is anticipated, I will be in touch to discuss whether a delay or reschedule may be necessary.

  • My team typically needs 14 business days notice in order to reschedule your photo shoot. In the event of illness or other major unforeseen circumstance, please contact me as soon as possible so that we can plan a reschedule.

Session reschedules or cancellations that are fewer than 14 business days in advance may forfeit the session retainer, and a new session retainer may be required to schedule a new session.

  • Sessions begin at $850. This includes an initial design consultation, professional wardrobe styling, a custom photo shoot experience with hair and makeup, and credit to spend on images at your Reveal. The majority of our clients spend between $2,000-$5,000 on their image collections and wall art, but what you choose to spend is totally up to you.

Payment plans are also available. See below for more info!

  • Yes! I offer weekly and bi-weekly prepayment plans that can be used to pay for your session fee over time and also build up a healthy amount of Studio Credit before your photo shoot. Prepayment plans are auto debited via a card on file and must be completed 4 weeks prior to your scheduled session date.

If you choose to purchase more than your Studio Credit balance will cover at your Reveal, at least 50% of your remaining balance will be due at that time. The rest can be split into auto payments over 4-6 weeks. Please note that no digital images can be finalized or delivered until your balance is completely paid, and printed products will be ordered following digital delivery.

  • 1-2 weeks following your photo shoot, I will invite you back into the studio or over Zoom to view the photographs we created together. This is the time when you make your selections, complete payment if you decide to upgrade your collection, and then we get to customize the printed products in your collection! What you choose is completely up to you, but I will be there guide you through the entire process.

  • Of course! You can pre-purchase a collection at booking, or upgrade when you view the images and make selections at your Reveal.

  • At the end of your Reveal, we will take a look through your final image collection and chat about retouching — anything specific you may want me to address, or things I plan to do (removing a visible clamp, fly away hairs, etc.). Typically, requests are minor tweaks, and sometimes clients LOVE their unretouched images as is and want me to just do my color toning/finishing!

There is no correct level of retouching, it’s just about being intentional with adjustments so that you look like yourself in your photographs.

  • Yes. Each photograph you purchase is delivered to you in two forms:

A high-resolution JPEG delivered via private online gallery accessible on mobile and desktop.

As my gift to you, because I believe that everyone deserves to hold printed images of themselves in their hands, you will also receive a fine art matted 5x7 print of each image that you purchase.

What you are ultimately purchasing is the ability to use the images created personally (in your home, on social media) and/or commercially (for your business web site, digital or print marketing, etc.)

  • All of our products are made to order in Italy. Offerings include matted fine art prints, Reveal Boxes, Storybooks, Wall Art, and more.

  • Definitely Reveal Box Collections and Wall Art! The Storybook is quickly becoming a favorite for boudoir sessions, as well.

  • Your digital images will be retouched and delivered to you via an online gallery accessible from mobile and desktop within 14-21 business days after your Reveal. If you have a more immediate need for some or all of your images, I can typically accommodate that. Once your gallery is finished, I will order your printed products and they will begin production in Italy. They arrive 5-6 weeks later and will be ready for pick up!

  • Any images that you purchase are kept on file for 1 year following your session. During this time, you are welcome to order additional matted prints & wall art!

Any unpurchased images are purged from my system after your Reveal.

  • I have all products shipped to the studio so that I can ensure no damage has occurred in transit. I highly recommend that local clients come in and pick them up, but if you need your products shipped to you that can absolutely be arranged.

  • Yes, and I can provide a print release to you upon request.

Please keep in mind that I am unable to guarantee the print quality of images that are not ordered from my studio. I highly recommend going through my lab to order more prints — that way you know that the quality will be just as fantastic as the prints you already received with your collection!

  • Yes! When you purchase images from me, you are granted a license to use them both personally (on social media, displayed in your home, etc.) and commercially.

The only things you are unable to do with them are sell them to another entity or alter the artwork (facetune/retouching, color modification/filters, etc.). You can crop as needed, though!

If you do post your images online, please tag the studio/team! We absolutely love seeing where you share your portraits.

  • The majority of our clients allow me to share their experience and images on the studio website and social media. They are likely the reason you have found my work, and I am incredibly grateful because the behind the scenes and final portraits are what show how powerful this experience is.

Some clients prefer that I not include their name alongside the images, and some request that I not show specific images. We will chat about your comfortability level at your Reveal once you’ve seen your images.
